WHO WE ARE
It's a delight to be able to present the 9th annual Furthest from the Sea Festival! Roll your sleeves up and get involved in all the creative activities on offer, then sit back and enjoy live performances from a great selection of musicians, dancers and actors.
Let your imagination run wild in the Story Corner, and admire the entries to our art competition and the output from our schools engagement programme in the Art Gallery.

If you get peckish, unpack your sandwiches, grab a cheeky donut, or enjoy a fresh, summer barbeque from The River Kitchen at the Museum of Making, with a selection of tasty options including artisan sausages, veggie kebabs, flatbreads and salads

Don't forget to pick up a printed copy of our festival map (from the Welcome Team, or from any Activity Tent) and collect a stamp each time you take part in an activity.
If you hand in your completed sheet as you leave you'll be in with a chance of winning a fabulous prize* to share with friends or family (or to keep all to yourself - we won't tell if you don't!).

Make sure you don't miss Eko, the 13-foot tall Sea Giant who is making a couple of very special appearances during the day. We'd love you to share your photos with us - tag us in on social media!
*PRIZE DRAW TERMS & CONDITIONS: Returned feedback forms will be entered into a prize draw. Your feedback allows us improve what we do, as well as helping us to report back to our funders, which is a good way of making sure we can continue to develop our work across Derby and Derbyshire. The winning entry will be selected by a blind draw. Winning the prize will be dependent on you providing accurate contact details so we can get in touch. There will be no obligation to remain on our mailing list. The prize will be a £40 voucher to be spent in The River Kitchen at the Museum of Making, and will be subject to any conditions or restrictions defined by that establishment. Furthest from the Sea reserves the right to exchange this prize for an alternative, deemed to be equivalent by the management. Only one entry per person. We will aim to contact the winner within 28 days of the event and will announce the winner on our social media platforms (with the prior consent of the individual concerned).
